The Gentlemen's Standard: Fatherhood

No, that is not President Obama's child. And I would suppose that I could have found another picture, with the president's actual children, to illustrate the point of this post. Nevertheless, there was something about this photograph that connected with my parental instincts-even though I have yet to become a parent. So, in my household, talks have really ramped up on the whole parenthood subject. Of course, the conversation began with baby names. Now, I understand that there exists a large perception that men flee in the face of possible fatherhood. I guess I am different. I started throwing around baby names, namely for a boy, in my head. And if I am so blessed to have a baby boy, I am really partial to Myles Palmer. Perhaps, Myles Christopher Palmer, or even Myles Jackson Palmer. Concerning a baby girl name...I love the name Kennedy. My lovely wife prefers Cameron. However, our talks are still in its infancy, we have lots to discuss. Schools. Medical care. Food. Clothing. Discipline. Every parent I have conversed with have informed me that raising a child is hard work. But, I am definitely ready to tackle the task.
