Something I will never, ever understand about soccer: A fans rushes onto the field and punches your teammate in the head (this happens a lot, apparently). You and your teammates go after the idiot and deliver some justice to his face. You get a red card and are sent off. What?
It happened in a Romanian league match in Ploiesti on Sunday, as a crazed spectator ran onto the pitch and punched Steaua Bucharest defender George Galamaz in the head from behind. The spectator is then tackled and kicked at least once by Galamaz?s teammates ? and I wholeheartedly approve. But apparently there?s a rule in soccer that players can?t get kicky with anyone?s head, even if it?s a lunatic who may kill them. And referees are especially not allowed to look at a video replay of it.
The fan, identified as Dragos Petrut Enache, was dragged off the field by security and arrested.

When play resumed, Steaua converted the penalty kick to go up 2-0. Petrolul Ploiesti fans began throwing flares onto the field, and the referee decided to abandon the game. Steaua Bucharest goalkeeper Ciprian Tatarusanu was mildly injured by a flare.

Steaua was leading 1-0 in the first half when the man attacked the defender after the referee awarded a penalty to the visiting team. The referee stopped play for about 10 minutes.
Galamaz remained hospitalized with a broken right cheekbone and will be sidelined for 45 days, the club said.
Enache was charged with disturbing public order and committing violence. A court will decide whether he should be held for 29 days pending trial. Prosecutors said Enache used a hard object to hit Galamaz and had taken drugs before the attack.
