Halo: Combat Evolved was the first great console-exclusive game to grace to the original Xbox, and Microsoft is celebrating its decade of excellent sequels and spin-offs with Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary.

This 343 Industries-developed remake of Bungie's hit first-person shooter features seven classic Halo matches, Kinect support, trophies, Xbox Live multiplayer action (both single-player and co-op), tons of easter eggs, and the ability to play in either the remastered HD or retro graphics.

Despite being a remake of the original Halo, Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary contains features found in recent Halo titles: weapon load-outs, emblems, customizable armor, and more. Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary also supports 3D visuals.

Gamers who pre-ordered Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary received an exclusive "Grunt Funeral" skull and a Master Chief armor for their Xbox Live avatars.

The original Halo was released on the Xbox in 2001, and went on to sell more than five million copies worldwide. It also received numerous Game of the Year awards, and helped solidify the Xbox as a viable video game platform.
